Welcome back to our Costume of the Day series! From now until Halloween, we’ll be posting new unique costume ideas daily, all created out of items found at Buffalo Exchange. We’re brewing up some scary good ideas for you guys, so be sure to check back regularly! Now that you mention it…we actually really enjoy coming up with costumes. So need a hand? Stop by your local Buffalo Exchange! We have designated Costume Stylists on hand daily to help you make your Halloween dreams a reality. Just look for an employee wearing a Costume Stylist name badge.

Keep It Fresh!

Buffalo Exchange Costa Mesa Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Costume

Take some fashion inspiration from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and dress up as the Banks Family for Halloween. Get together a few of your friends, pick up some 90s gear from Buffalo Exchange Costa Mesa and be sure to practice the theme song! “In West Philadelphia, born and raised. On the playground is where I spent most of my days…”

Spice for Life

Buffalo Exchange Hollywood Florida Unique Costume Ideas Spice Girls

Another take on the Spice Girls from Buffalo Exchange Florida! You really can’t go wrong with this 90s group costume. Bust out some group choreography to really make an impression this Halloween!

To Be or Not to Be

Halloween Unique Costume Ideas

Still don’t know what to be this Halloween? Then take a page out of the old bard’s book and dress as Hamlet or any renaissance character.  Find a poofy sleeved shirt for men and be sure throw on those tights! Accessorize by carrying around a skull like we did at Buffalo Exchange Bellingham. Romeo and Juliet also makes a great – but tragic – couples costume.

The Coven

Buffalo Exchange Halloween

Channel your American Horror Story fandom into a simple – but effective – Coven look this Halloween. To create these looks at Buffalo Exchange New Orleans, we threw on as much black as possible – dresses, tights, hats and boots – and then posed in front of the genuine Coven house. It may not be quite as easy to find a sweet old mansion if you live outside of NOLA, but guaranteed you can put one of these monochromatic looks together in no time.

Rocky Horror

Rocky Horror Buffalo Exchange Unique Halloween Costume Ideas

What’s Halloween without Rocky Horror Picture Show? Make it a monster mash this Halloween by getting a group of friends together and going as Frank N. Furter (pictured front and center), Magenta (right) and Columbia #1 (left). The best part is, you can keep it to this classic trio, like we did at Buffalo Exchange Atlanta.

Ziggy Stardust

Buffalo Exchange Unique Halloween Costume Ideas Ziggy Stardust

Ground control to Major Tom – we’ve figured out what to be this Halloween. Honor one of the world’s most influential musicians by dressing up as David Bowie’s alter ego Ziggy Stardust! The main aspect of this look from Buffalo Exchange San Diego (Hillcrest) is the lightning face paint – for the rest, throw on a few sequins and you’re ready to rock.

David Bowie, Take Two

Buffalo Exchange Halloween Costume Ideas DIY Halloween

These looks from Buffalo Exchange Seattle (Ballard) show you how many different ways you can make this costume work. It’s as simple as locking down the signature hair-do and adding a little glam!

Be a Star

Buffalo Exchange Unique Halloween Costume ideas

Prince offers us endless inspiration for being a rocker! At Buffalo Exchange Minneapolis, they got in to the groove with a great purple jacket to mimic Prince’s iconic look.

Addams Family Values

Buffalo Exchange Halloween Costume Ideas

The Addams Family – a true Halloween classic. This can be a group costume, like we did at Buffalo Exchange Dallas, or you can be any character on your own. The best part is you could add in Fester, Debbie or Cousin Itt and make the family as big as you want. Each costume is pretty simple on its own – just dress in black and keep up the the Addams Family attitude!

Grease

Buffalo Exchange Halloween Costume Ideas

If you want a group costume that goes together like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong, this is it! Grease has quickly become one of our go-to Halloween costumes this year. For one, because we would definitely wear these looks from Buffalo Exchange Pittsburgh after Halloween. For two, because we can definitely put them together at the last minute with items we already own. And for three, because it gives us the excuse to sing some pretty fantastic songs all night.

Backstreet Boys “Millenium” Album Cover

Buffalo Exchange Unique Costume Ideas Backstreet Boys Millenium Group Costume

Backstreet’s back, alright! This idea from Buffalo Exchange Sherman Oaks makes for the ultimate group costume…if you grew up in the 90s and kind of have a thing for boy bands, that is. For this look, all you need is white on white on white, a few stick-on mustaches/goatees and a pair of shades. Major bonus points if you memorize a verse, complete with choreography, to bust out at every Halloween party you walk into.

The Breakfast Club

Buffalo Exchange Portland Halloween Costumes

Who doesn’t love brunch? If you feel like the best part of waking up is a mimosa in your cup, then show your appreciation by getting a group of your besties together to go as a literal Breakfast Club this year. Eggs, bacon, avocado toast, bloody mary’s…the possibilities are endless! These breakfast basics courtesy of Buffalo Exchange Hawthorne. Just a side note: Space Egg is definitely one of the most hilarious and unique costume ideas we’ve seen so far.

Twiggy

Buffalo Exchange Tucson Halloween Costume twiggy

Flashback to Andy Warhol’s 1960s as Twiggy this Halloween. The key components of this look are a swingin’ 60s dress (we found this one at Buffalo Exchange Tucson), knee socks and heavy, heavy eyeliner. If you don’t already have short hair, part your longer locks on the side and then pull them back into a low bun to mimic the look.

Mad Max: Fury Road

Buffalo Exchange Mad Max Halloween Costume

We all know that the future costume contest trophies belong to the mad, so channel your inner Charlize Theron as Imperator Furiosa this year. For the base of this costume, styled by Buffalo Exchange Santa Monica, start with a white tank top, a black wrap-around scarf, black skinnies and black or brown boots. Then, add several brown belts and wrap a studded belt around your thigh. Complete the costume with a pair of Goggles and this Mad Max hair and makeup tutorial. The best part about this costume? We love how it incorporates everyday staples you can easily wear throughout the rest of the season.

Cirque du Halloween: The Ringmaster, The Lion, The Bearded Lady and The Mime

Buffalo Exchange Tempe Unique Costume Ideas Circus Group Costume

Ever wanted to run off and join the circus? Now’s your chance! Get a group of your besties together and dress up as a crew worthy of Barney & Bailey fame. You can pretty much find all the pieces you need secondhand. In fact, we put this whole group costume together using items from Buffalo Exchange Tempe. First up is the ringmaster and her menagerie. To create a ringmaster look, you’ll need a top hat and a whip. For the rest of the costume, simply stick to a black, white and red color scheme. Find a red tuxedo-style blazer and layer it on top of a black bodysuit or else wear a long-sleeved red top under a black vest for a similar effect. On the bottom, throw on fishnets or black skinnies and tall boots.

For the lion, all you really need is some face paint for the nose, a lion’s mane (the hood of a parka works well or you can DIY your own) and lots of beige and brown. We used a brown overcoat and some fun slippers to complete this look!

Next up is the bearded lady and her mime friend. To create your bearded lady costume, throw on a fun dress, add a beard and voila! Instant carnival attraction. For the mime, you’ll need striped everything, a beret, white gloves and suspenders. If more of your friends want to hop on board the circus wagon, add a muscle man, a clown, a fortune teller, an elephant or a monkey.

Pennywise the Clown from It

Buffalo Exchange San Francisco Haight St Unique Costume Ideas Pennywise the Clown

This may not be one of the year’s most unique costume ideas, but it’s certainly going to be one of the most popular. Don’t miss this chance to seriously creep your friends out as Pennywise the Clown. We put this version together at Buffalo Exchange San Francisco (Haight St) with a clown suit, clown makeup and, OF COURSE, an ominous red balloon! If you can’t find a traditional clown costume or don’t want to purchase one, no worries. You can DIY your look by hot gluing some colorful poms on a white tee and colored jeans.

Pennywise Goes to Paris

We are absolutely loving this couture take on Pennywise the Clown, styled by Buffalo Exchange Brooklyn (Williamsburg). Instead of using a traditional clown costume, put together a look that is scarily chic using a few layers of Victorian frills and a couple of statement poms. Top the outfit off with heels, a signature red balloon and some creepy teardrop eye makeup.

Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf

Any Grimms’ Fairy Tales fans out there? This idea from Buffalo Exchange NYC (East Village) makes for the perfect couples costume! For Little Red Riding Hood, you’ll need a dress and a red hooded cape. Simple as that! Bonus points if you want to add a wicker basket.

For the wolf, aim for Northwest style (i.e. flannel and boots), then add on wolf ears and face paint or a wolf mask. To really have fun with it, swap the Northwest wardrobe for a granny nightgown and a kerchief.

The Sock Hop Set

Here’s a look that makes us want to say shooby-doo-wop! When you feel like taking a stroll back in time to the days of soda shops and sock hops, get together a group of your friends for a 50s-themed group costume. Go grease lightning in a matter of minutes simply by slicking back your hair and throwing on a white tee, black leather jacket, red bandana and jeans. For a more feminine look, simply swap the jeans for a circle skirt and switch up the hairdo. These sock hop stylings are so easy to put together that they make for totally cute last minute costumes. We styled this look almost entirely from items found at Buffalo Exchange Berkeley.

Spice Up Your Life

So tell me what you want – what you really, really want. A Spice Girls costume? Yeah, that’s what we were thinking at Buffalo Exchange Eugene, too. This is already proving to be one of the most popular group costumes of the year, so if you wanna be a Spice Girl, you gotta get with your friends! Pick your flavor – Sporty, Baby, Ginger, Posh or Scary – and get costuming.

For Sporty, think Adidas track pants, a crop top and a high ponytail. To create a Baby Spice look, wear a light pink dress and put your hair up in pigtails. If you’re more the Ginger type, you’ll need to wear all red – British flag accents encouraged. To perfect your Posh, wear your hair straight and throw on a slinky black dress. Finally, you can put a Scary Spice look together with leopard print everything and her signature space buns.

Purple Rain

Buffalo Exchange Halloween Prince Costume idea

Let your inner rock star shine this Halloween! For this costume at Buffalo Exchange Los Angeles (Santa Monica), we paid tribute to Prince in a yellow, embellished jumpsuit. This look is more about attitude than anything else, so keep an eye out for bright colors like turquoise, purple and yellow, glitter and studs, then mix and match everything together for a stage-ready look.

Hop on the Magic School Bus!

Buffalo exchange Tempe Halloween

With a new Magic School Bus now available on Netflix, it’s the perfect time to take chances, make mistakes and get messy with your Halloween costume! That’s right – we’re talking about the one and only Ms. Frizzle. To create this look from Buffalo Exchange Phoenix, start with a dress in a wacky print – space is a popular choice, but anything science-themed will work. To DIY it, pick up a blue dress, felt in colors like white, red, yellow, orange green and blue and a hot glue gun. Use the white to create stars and moons, the red, yellow and orange to make suns and Saturns and the green and blue to make Earths. For an extra touch, glue a couple of stars or moons onto your shoes. Oh and don’t forget your reptilian friend! To finish off the look, pin a stuffed lizard (or a printed photo of one) on your shoulder.

That 70s ShowHalloween 70s Costume

Hello, Wisconsin! For this group costume from Buffalo Exchange Ventura, we took a trip back to the psychedelic 70s as Kelso, Jackie, Fez, Eric, Donna and Hyde. Since 70s styles are so popular right now, you may already have a few pieces in your closet that you can use – think flared denim, vintage band tees, Levi’s jackets and plenty of plaid.

Marie Antoinette

Buffalo exchange halloween Costume

This is one of those unique costume ideas that’s going to have everyone asking, “Where did you get that?!” To which we would reply, “Buffalo Exchange NYC Chelsea, thanks for asking!” If you want to recreate this look yourself, you’ll need a Victorian wig, gloves, pearls and a frilly full-length dress – Gunne Sax gowns work perfectly. To complete the costume, we highly recommend handing out cupcakes and saying, “Let them eat cake!” all night.

Disco Darlings

Buffalo Exchange Disco Halloween

If you’re looking for a Halloween costume idea that you’ll definitely be able to wear again, think Boogie Nights! We put together these disco darling looks at Buffalo Exchange Portland (Downtown) by piling on the glitter, velvet and fringe – all pieces we would be excited to wear again to a holiday party or just a night out on the town. The more glitz and glam, the better. Definitely use this as an excuse to paint your nails with glitter polish and/or buy that body glitter you’ve been wanting.

Can You Do the Can-Can?

Buffalo Exchange Halloween Moulin Rouge

When it comes to unique costume ideas, everybody can-can! At Buffalo Exchange Austin, we took inspiration from Moulin Rouge for these can-can dancer costumes. To put one of these looks together, stick with a classic color scheme of black and red and look for items like corsets, crinolines, top hats and fancy gloves. Oh, and start stretching – you’re definitely going to want to bust out some high kicks at least once during the night.

Squad from Outer Space

Buffalo Exchange Space Alien Halloween

Need a fun and easy group costume idea? Take a trip to outer space! Grab a couple of alien masks (or paint your face with green and black) and go for silver metallic everything, like we did for these costumes at Buffalo Exchange Fullerton. Because metallics are so popular right now, this is a great excuse to add a little shine to your wardrobe.

Jinkies! It’s Velma!

Buffalo Exchange Scooby Doo Velma Costume

We’ve done it! We’ve solved the mystery of what to be for Halloween this year: Velma from Scooby Doo. To put this look together at Buffalo Exchange Albuquerque, we found an orange turtleneck sweater, a darker orange skirt, specs and a magnifying glass. You’ll also want to pick up a wig (or just use this as an excuse to get bangs again!), orange knee-high socks and red shoes. Even better, get a few of your friends to go as Shaggy, Daphne and Scooby Doo himself!

My Little Unicorn

Buffalo Exchange Unicorn Costumes

Who doesn’t love unicorns? To transform into this most mystical of all creatures, you only need one main component: a unicorn horn. We found these at Buffalo Exchange Boston (Somerville), but you can also DIY your own. From there, get creative with your look! Rainbow hair colors and bright, colorful outfits highly recommended.

It’s in the Cards!

Buffalo Exchange Tarot Card Costumes

Now here’s a truly original – and potentially quite spooky – idea! Pull out your favorite tarot deck and take inspiration from the cards. There are tons of options, but at Buffalo Exchange Brooklyn (Boerum Hill), we recreated the Empress, the Magician and the Lovers. To really sell this costume, of course, go around predicting fellow partygoers’ futures all night!

The Glow Up

Buffalo exchange Seattle U- district Halloween GLOW

If you’re a fan of the popular Netflix series Glow, show your friends that the glow-up is real by dressing as a lady wrestler for Halloween. To put together these looks at Buffalo Exchange Seattle (U-District), we basically went for an 80s workout video vibe with spandex, leotards and high shine. Ready to rumble!

On Halloween, We Wear Pink

Buffalo Exchange Halloween Costume of the Day Mean Girls Halloween

This year, when someone asks you what you’re supposed to be, you can proudly proclaim, “I’m a mouse, duh!” Gather your best friends together and dress as the baddest squad of the early 2000s – Mean Girls Cady Heron, Regina George, Gretchen Wieners and Karen Smith. We styled this costume at Buffalo Exchange Chicago using schoolgirl mini skirts, heels and plenty of pink, plus a 90s slip and mouse ears for Karen! We don’t know about you, but we suddenly have a strong urge to go watch Mean Girls again.

Last-Minute Looks: Strawberry and Rosie the Riveter

Buffalo Exchange Halloween Costumes

Here, we’ve got a range of last-minute looks from Buffalo Exchange Houston. How about the adorable strawberry on the left? For this one, take a red dress, cover it in dots with a sharpie, get some green fabric and cut yourself a collar. Throw on red tights and your outfit is complete! Or, go for Rosie the Riveter (pictured front right) with a red bandana and either a mechanic’s jumpsuit or some denim on denim. Instant costume!

Crazy Cat Lady

Buffalo Exchange Cat lady Costume

This woman, spotted at Buffalo Exchange Charlotte, loves her cats so much that she’s actually started turning into them! For a unique take on a crazy cat lady costume, go for cat print anything and add a cat mask (potentially available at your local Buffalo Exchange!). Animal masks are totally in right now, so represent your favorite member of the wild kingdom with a mask and street clothes for a look that is oh-so-cool and also totally easy to put together right meow.

Grease Lightning

Buffalo Exchange 50s Costume

For a costume that is systematic, hydromatic AND ultramatic, you can’t go wrong with Grease. To put together a group look like this one from Buffalo Exchange Philadelphia, throw on moto jackets, high-waisted denim and, if you can find it (or craft your own), a Pink Ladies bomber jacket! Don’t these guys just go together like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong?

Out of This World

Buffalo Exchange Out of this world Costume

The best part about these fashion astronaut looks from Buffalo Exchange Las Vegas is that you have a lot of room to get creative. Look for this season’s popular metallic and see-through plastic trends. Bonus points because you’ll look like you just walked off the 2018 runways when you wear these after Halloween. Then, DIY a space helmet to make your look complete!

Sailor Moon

Buffalo Exchange Sailor Moon Costume

In the name of the moon, we love these Sailor Moon costumes from Buffalo Exchange San Francisco (Mission). For Sailor Moon, you’ll need a blue skirt, a white tee and a red bow to put around your neck. Put your hair up in space buns and you’re ready to save the universe! For a matching Tuxedo Mask costume, you’ll need a black blazer, a cape, a top hat, sunglasses and a rose.

Sonny and Cher

Buffalo Exchange Sonny and Cher Costume

It isn’t every day you have the chance to masquerade as the coolest couple of the 60s and 70s. To get you Sonny and Cher on this Halloween, it’s all about the hair styles. If you don’t already have Cher’s infamous locks, pick up a wig. For Sonny, add a moustache. After that, it’s all about going full-on 70s.  For this look from Buffalo Exchange San Diego (Pacific Beach), we went with flares, suede, turquoise jewelry and denim on denim, but you can style this however you want!

Rocket Power

Buffalo Exchange Rocket Power Costume

For anyone who watched Nickelodeon in its 90s hay day, the Rocket Power show makes a unique but recognizable throwback costume. At Buffalo Exchange Columbus, we recreated Reggie Rocket with camo pants and her signature tee. Skateboard definitely recommended. For her best friend Twister Rodriguez, we threw on Converse, cargo shorts, a blue tank top layered over a tee and a backwards cap. This is a great BFF costume!

Fairly Odd Parents

ange Fairly Odd Parents Cosmo and Wanda

Ok, we just can’t get enough of 90s Nickelodeon, so we couldn’t resist creating a Fairly Odd Parents costume at Buffalo Exchange Boston (Allston). This is an easy last-minute costume because you mainly just need a pink and green wig or temporary hair dye, fairy wings and clothes from your own closet.

Saved by the Bell

Buffalo Exchange Saved by the Bell Costume

If you’ve never seen Saved by the Bell, it’s time for a Hulu marathon with your main squeeze. When you’re done, get started on the perfect couples costume – Lisa and Screech. There are no rules for this one. To create this look at Buffalo Exchange Nashville, we just put together the most 80s outfits possible and threw on curly haired wig for Screech.

TLC

Buffalo Exchange TLC Halloween

Don’t go chasing unoriginal costumes this Halloween – instead, go as iconic 90s girl band TLC! We created these T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli costumes at Buffalo Exchange Washington DC by combining some 90 streetwear favorites like baggy overalls, flannels and bra tops.

Miss Piggy

Buffalo Exchange Miss Piggy

Here’s one of those unique costume ideas that will guarantee you don’t run into anyone else with the same outfit on Halloween night. We used a Miss Piggy mask for this costume at Buffalo Exchange Astoria, but you could also get a pig nose or ears and then do your Miss Piggy hair and makeup. For the rest of the outfit, find a cute pink dress, fancy gloves and pearls and you’ll be muppet glam in no time!

Depending on your mood, you can rock this dramatic accordion pleat skirt with a metallic bell-sleeved crop top or go for old world glamour in a vintage inspired wiggle dress. Bonus points for incorporating a va va voom pair of leopard print pumps.

Don’t Hold the Wall (Paper!)

Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Holiday style, green damask dress with tall boots

We know what you’re thinking — wallpaper? On a dress? Hear us out ! This modern damask with velvet etching makes for holiday style that’s sure to stand out. For an extra ‘70s flair, pair it with a suede fringed satchel and tall boots. Oh, and we’ll let you in on a secret: the lariat necklace will be making a major comeback in 2018!

The Cranberries

Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Holiday style, cranberry lace maxi dress

Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Holiday style, cranberry velvet wrap dress

Cranberry is a universally flattering shade. For fun and flirty holiday style, wear this velvet skater wrap dress with soft metallic accessories and eye-catching paisley booties. Or, if you’re keen on a more romantic look, couple a long and lacy maxi with bedazzled booties and a small vintage-inspired handbag.

Heavy Metal

Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Holiday style, gold dress with black cardigan

Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Holiday style, metallic silver dress with booties

Just because you’re going for festive holiday style doesn’t mean you’re stuck wearing green and red. In fact, this is one of the easiest times of year to incorporate some serious glitz into your look. You can’t go wrong with a shimmery shift dress and tough-as-nails black leather booties. Top the outfit off with a sparkly longline cardigan to stay warm while you heat up the party!

Back to Basics: The Little Black Dress

Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Holiday style, little black dress

The little black dress is a closet staple for all frock-wearing folk.  It’s one of the most versatile pieces you can own — right up there with a white tee and great jeans. To keep it simple, pair your dress with matching black velvet booties and a choker (or two).  Then, add a cross body bag in a seasonal color like this ever-so-festive cranberry red.

Fawning Over Flora

Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Holiday style, floral dress with pink jacket

Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Holiday style, floral blouse with black skirt

Everything is coming up roses! The flowers may be underground for the season, but they can still find room to bloom in your closet. The key is pairing those florals with cozy accouterments. For example, this peony pink shearling jacket. Holiday style that incorporates floral prints? Groundbreaking!

Prep S’cool Holiday Style

Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Holiday style, red blouse with dress over denim

If you’re headed straight from work to your holiday party, here’s a dual-purpose outfit for you! Layering a black blazer dress over a cranberry button down will make you look absolutely polished. But let’s not stop there — why not throw on pair of raw hemmed jeans underneath? We saw lots of jeans-under-dresses looks on the runways this year, and the trend shows no sign of slowing down. Top off your look with pewter loafers and you’ll be too cool for school.

Ta-da! Now that didn’t take too long, did it? We covered a plethora of styles that you can pull together in no time.  Whether you choose to go classic in the little black dress, ’80s glam in a metallic sheath or kick-back cool in the dress and pants combo, all of us here at Buffalo Exchange wish you a happy and safe holiday!

New Year’s Eve Outfits: 3 Ways to Style a Sequin Dress

By Jessica Pruitt, Buffalo Exchange HQ; Clothing from Buffalo Exchange Tucson

When planning the perfect New Year’s Eve outfits, getting started is easy – all you need is a sequin dress bright enough to rival the Times Square ball! Accessorizing the look, however, can be a whole different story. Whether you want to re-wear last year’s dress in a new way or you just want to make it fit your individual style, we bring you 3 different ways to style the same sequin dress!

Classic New Year’s Eve OutfitsBuffalo Exchange , Buffalo Exchange HQ , New Year's Eve Outfits , Sequin dress with fur jacket

If you love Breakfast at Tiffany’s and take fashion inspo from stars like Audrey Hepburn and Greta Garbo, then this classically chic look is perfect for you. To start, we opted for simple yet elegant footwear – pointy-toed block heels. Then, we added a vintage clutch and pearl-adorned gloves to really give it a 1950s feel.  For major glam factor? A faux fur jacket in navy blue, of course! Keep the understated elegance of this look by finishing it off with simple silver jewelry.

New Year’s Eve Outfits that Rock

For a look that’ll have everyone whispering “Who’s that person? They look super cool” when you walk into the party, we recommend going modern with an edge. Start with a lucite-heeled bootie and a pleather moto jacket (both great for everyday wear, as well). Then, top off with a fringey clutch and statement jewelry to attain instant rocker status.

How to Wear Millennial Pink for NYEBuffalo Exchange , Buffalo Exchange HQ , New Year's Eve Outfits , Sequin dress with Millennial Pink

We’re pretty sure this is the New Year’s Eve outfit of all New Year’s Eve outfits – especially if you’re a fan of the millennial pink that’s been stealing the scene lately. Instead of black tights, we took a walk on the wild side with light pink ones, then added faux furry pink platforms to seal the deal. The coup de grace of this look, however, is a vintage, faux fur-trimmed robe that’ll have you feeling like you woke up like this. Finish off with a millennial pink mini purse, fringy earrings and a high-shine necklace to make a statement this NYE.

If you and your friends are scrambling for the perfect New Year’s Eve outfits, there’s still time before the ball drops! Buffalo Exchange stores across the country have been stocking up on all the glitz and all the glam, so stop by to shop for full looks or fun accessories to make the dress (or pantsuit!) you already have feel brand new. Happy New Year!

Coats for Cubs: Give Your Furs Back to the Animals

0
0

Now announcing our 2018 Coats for Cubs drive! From January 2 to April 22, you can donate your real fur coats and trimmings at any Buffalo Exchange location. All collected furs will be sent to wildlife rehabilitators, where they are repurposed into bedding that nurtures recovering wild animals, providing more warmth and familiarity than options like towels and sheets. These furs help injured and orphaned wildlife by keeping baby animals warm and minimizing human contact during the recovery process.

“It really helps the animals to have something to snuggle into,” says Jody Raines of Illinois Valley Wildlife Rehab. “It appears to relax them and makes them easier to work with. Every baby heads right to the fur hiding place when I take them in.”

Since 2006, when Buffalo Exchange first became involved with Coats for Cubs, we have collected and distributed over 13,644 furs. Last year alone, we collected 1,390 furs to give back to the animals. Help us make it another record year! To learn more and see photos of some of the animals who have benefited from donated furs, visit CoatsforCubs.com.

The Times They Are A-Changin’: Winter-to-Spring Outfits to Wear Now

By Aarian Frye, Buffalo Exchange HQ; Photos from Buffalo Exchange Portland (Hawthorne)

Oh, January. No matter where you are in the country, you’re probably kind of over the whole winter cyclone thing. Plus, after dressing up for most of December, it’s easy to fall into a post‐holiday fashion slump. Fortunately, we here at Buffalo Exchange have got your parka‐covered back! With help from Buffalo Exchange Portland (Hawthorne), we’ve put together some cozy winter-to-spring outfits that you can start wearing now. As the weather warms up, simply peel off a layer or two!

Café – Oh, Late!

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Portland (Hawthorne), Winter-to-Spring outfits, denim jacket and white boots

We can all agree that getting out of bed is especially difficult on overcast winter days. So, if you ever find yourself late to a coffee date with your BFF, throw on cropped black pants with an oversized sweatshirt (we suggest going sporty chic with a purposefully worn‐in team logo) and a denim jacket. Finish it off with a chunky circle scarf and a pair of mod white booties. When the temperatures begin to rise, this is one of those winter-to-spring outfits that you can easily modify by ditching the jacket and scarf and rolling up the varsity sweatshirt sleeves. Next thing you know, you’ll be too cool for school.

Plaid You Could Make It!

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Portland (Hawthorne), Winter-to-Spring outfits, plaid and burnt orange pants Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Portland (Hawthorne), Winter-to-Spring outfits, plaid, cream skirt, beanie

Plaid is a ubiquitous winter staple, but we love it year-round! It’s easy to make a variety of winter-to-spring outfits with any plaid piece by pairing it with warmer colors and pastel accents. A pair of sienna slacks or a pleated cream midi‐skirt both play well with a larger plaid – be sure to add a rolled gray beanie for good measure. When the weather warms up, throw on a tee underneath and use your plaid button-up as your outer layer.

Bundle Up, Buttercup!

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Portland (Hawthorne), Winter-to-Spring outfits, blue jacket, leather skirt, scarf

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Portland (Hawthorne), Winter-to-Spring outfits, leather skirt, black booties, scarf

In the beginning of the year, it’s not unusual for the temperatures to start climbing and then suddenly backslide to frigid. If you find yourself shivering in a similar situation, it’s easy to recalibrate your springy outfits for wintry weather. We recommend adding a quilted jacket and dependable leather boots to your sweater/jean combo or upping the warmth of an A‐line leather skirt with a puffer jacket and warm faux fur scarf. Things are certainly starting to heat up now!

Winter-to-Spring Outfits for the Office

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Portland (Hawthorne), Winter-to-Spring outfits, menswear, black coat, leather briefcase  Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Portland (Hawthorne), Winter-to-Spring outfits, menswear, leather briefcase, blue jacket, leather skirt, scarf

Easing back into work after the holidays is tough, especially when you’ve lounged around in pajamas for the past week or two. Fortunately, you just have to remember the ABCs of business: Always Be Comfortable! Get back into the groove of things with a striped button-down layered beneath a khaki cargo jacket and longline black coat. When spring finally comes around, shed the beanie and the wool coat, instead displaying your casual khaki layering piece.

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Portland (Hawthorne), Winter-to-Spring outfits, menswear, leather briefcase, scarf, smile

Now that you’re fully equipped to step into the New Year with perfectly layered winter-to-spring outfits, you’re sure to accomplish anything you set your mind to! Maybe even that closet cleanout you’ve been thinking of? We buy the best of all seasons, all year-round, so stop by your local Buffalo Exchange to trade in your past favorites for fantastic new layering pieces. In the meantime, shake off that snow from your beanie and dream of warmer days, but appreciate the calm, quiet beauty of winter while you can. Summer (and summer fashion!) will be here before you know it!

Meet Danyel Beck, Buyer and Personal Style Guru

By Buffalo Exchange Los Angeles (Santa Monica)

Having a job in fashion is a great way to explore new styles and refine your own personal tastes – especially when that job is at Buffalo Exchange, where new inspiration comes into the store daily! Buffalo Exchange Los Angeles (Santa Monica) employee Danyel loves bringing her streetwear-inspired personal style to work every day and constantly discovering new things about fashion. As she puts it, Buyers are “50% fashion encyclopedias, 50% curious.” Read on to find out more!

How would you describe your personal style?
I like to think of my style as street mixed with a touch of elegance. My go-to look is tomboy/chic, which basically means an oversized T-shirt or dress, jeans and sneakers (or heels if I’m going out on the weekend). Add a cute cross-body bag and, of course, BIG HAIR and I’m all set!

Buffalo Exchange,Santa Monica,Personal style, monochrome outfit

What inspires your daily looks?
People and music videos! Some of my style inspirations are Vashtie, Pharrell and Alea Limay. I usually pick a mood for the day and dress accordingly.

Besides shopping, what are your hobbies?
I love to dye my own clothes. I also write music, paint, hike, and go to music festivals.

Buffalo Exchange, Santa Monica, Personal style, black and white outfit, Dr. Martens

Buffalo Exchange,Santa Monica,Personal style, red denim jacket, yellow sunglasses

What inspired you to look for a job in fashion? Why Buffalo Exchange?
I’ve always been in love with fashion. I started to look for jobs in fashion when I began studying Merchandise Product Development at FIDM and realized I wanted to be a Buyer. There weren’t many entry-level Buyer positions available, so I applied to Buffalo Exchange. When they called me to set up an interview, I was so excited! I didn’t know anything about buying before I started working here, but they recognized my love of fashion and gave me the training I needed. I’m so glad Buffalo Exchange became my first fashion job!

Buffalo Exchange, Santa Monica, Personal style, Vans, denim skirt

What do you love most about being a Buyer?
I love connecting with customers when they bring in items that are very special to them. As Buyers, we’re 50% “fashion encyclopedias”, 50% curious, so I love hearing stories about where items came from or what they meant to the customer. The best part is coming across pieces that I know our customers will appreciate. It’s nice to be able to make someone’s day.

If you ever need fashion inspiration for your own personal style, be sure to visit us at your local Buffalo Exchange! All Buffalo employees, Danyel included, love to share their fashion knowledge, find out what you’re looking for and even help you shop. And hey, while you’re there, why not put in an application? We’re always looking for friendly, fashion-loving people to join the herd!

After the After Party: How to Take Your NYE Looks from Night to Day

By Aarian Frye, Buffalo Exchange HQ; Photos from Buffalo Exchange Ventura.

After the holidays, when all the champagne is gone and all the sparklers are burnt out, it’s not unusual to find your closet stuffed to the gills with fun pieces you bought and only wore to one – albeit spectacular! – party. If you’d like to give ‘em one more chance to make an appearance in your #OOTDs before you sell to your local Buffalo Exchange, read ahead to see how easy it can be to bring your NYE looks from night to day with a few key pieces.

Night-to-Day Incog-neato!

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Ventura, NYE Looks, gray jacket, metallic dress, Opening Ceremony

A metallic dress befitting a starry night filled with fireworks can be brought back down to earth with a low-key trench jacket made from a comfortable jersey knit. Incorporate a chic translucent cross-body from the night before and slip-on trainers. Top it off with a dad hat to stylishly hide the bed head you may or may not (totally!) have.

No pictures, please!

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Ventura, NYE Looks, yellow, plaid, puma, leather jacket

If one of your NYE looks involved a pair of modern tapered slacks, heels and a crop top, simply throw on a sporty hoodie dress and casual sneakers for a pop of color. A top-handle satchel and dark-tinted sunnies make the night-to-day transition easy like Sunday morning.

Athleisure NYE Looks

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Ventura, NYE looks, black and white, Adidas, blue, fanny pack

On the run? Take the Adidas joggers you wore with heels and a button-up the night before and pair ‘em with sneakers and an always-cool moto jacket. Trade in a traditional purse for one of 2018’s biggest upcoming trends: the oversized fannypack. After a long night, this should free your hands up for holding the coffee you most definitely need.

What a Way to Go!

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Ventura, NYE Looks, pink, velvet, jumpsuit

Are you concerned that a bright pink velvet jumpsuit worthy of Louisa May Foster may be a little too intense to bring into the daytime? This is one of those NYE looks you can easily tone down with a black ruffle-sleeved blouse and simple ankle booties. Add a kitschy pair of translucent pink-framed sunglasses and dainty gold chain to complete the night-to-day transition.

As you can see, it’s easy to take your NYE looks from night to day with a few crucial elements: great eyewear, a cool jacket and comfy shoes. Once you are ready to retire your favorite sparkle-and-shine pieces, stop in to Buffalo Exchange and sell them for cash or trade. This is a sure way to keep the good times rolling – someone else is bound to find them and give them a second life (of the party, of course)!

By Jessica Pruitt, Buffalo Exchange HQ; Outfits styled from Buffalo Exchange Tucson

Valentine’s Day may have been invented by Hallmark way back when, but hey, I’ll take any excuse I can to dress up. Er, to celebrate my loved ones, I mean! Whether you’re planning on getting drinks with friends, going out for a fancy dinner, staying in to make dinner for two or having an impromptu snowball fight, these are some of our favorite Valentine’s Day outfit options!

She’s So Metal

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Valentine's Day Outfit, Metallic Skirt, lace

I love this Valentine’s Day outfit for a night out with your besties. The metallic trend takes a turn for the romantic when paired with a fuchsia lace blouse. Add an extra pop with hoop earrings and a beaded clutch, then complete your look with tights and slides. Bonus: you’ll definitely want to re-wear this metallic origami skirt all year long.

Velveteen Valentine’s Day Outfit

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Valentine's Day Outfit, velvet skirt

You don’t have to stick to pink and red for a romantic Valentine’s Day outfit. This frilly velvet midi skirt paired with a cropped silk accordion blouse and pearl-embellished loafers is perfect for staying in and cooking a romantic dinner for two.

Paint the Town Pink

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Valentine's Day Outfit, Pink flute sleeve dress

Sometimes, you just want a good excuse to dress to the nines for a fancy five-course dinner, champagne, dancing – the whole works. When you’re heading out to paint the town red (or pink!), this off-the-shoulder wiggle dress will definitely do the trick! Finish off with a jewel-tone statement necklace, classic pointed-toe heels and a vintage coat.

On the Mauve

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Valentine's Day Outfit, lace blouse, pencil skirt

Heading straight from the office out to see your Valentine? This is the perfect day-to-night Valentine’s Day outfit! Start with a modern take on a pencil skirt – I love the lace-up detail on this Rachel Roy number – then add a romantic touch with a lacy mauve blouse and heeled booties.

Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

Buffalo Exchange, Headquarters, Valentine's Day Outfit, red sweater, denim

There’s nothing more romantic than sipping hot chocolate after an impromptu snowball fight, so make the best of that late-winter blizzard by cozying up in your snow bunny best and heading out for a date to build a snowman. Start with your favorite jeans, an oversized sweater and moto-style boots, then add on earmuffs and mittens. Oh, and don’t forget the carrot, top hat and scarf for Frosty!

We’re just two weeks out from Romeo and Juliet’s favorite holiday, so if you’re still wondering what to wear, stop by your local Buffalo Exchange! We can help you find a head-to-toe Valentine’s Day outfit or just some new accessories to jazz up what you already have. And hey, while you’re at it, why not get an early start on your spring closet cleanout and bring in your past favorites for cash or trade? That way, you’ll have more money to spend on a sweet gift for your boo!

Man Repeller’s Layering Magic

Buffalo Exchange, Brooklyn Boerum Hill, Street Style, Plaid Skirt Pink Sweater

To get this Man Repeller-inspired look, we went for a fun combo of bright colors and textures. We started with gold Nike Cortez sneakers and a puffer jacket, then added plenty of textures in between to really develop the layered effect. We can definitely see wearing these gold sneakers all the way into spring and are already envisioning all the outfits they might be paired with!

Aleali May’s Casual Cool Street Style

Buffalo Exchange, Brooklyn Boerum Hill, Street Style, Corset Top and Faux Fur Jacket

For this look, we got our street style inspiration from Aleali May, pairing chic distressed denim with heeled booties, a fun corset top and a faux furry jacket. This is a great way to start wearing your favorite new spring pieces now! Sporty and bold, Aleali May’s streetwear style is casually chic. Her staple piece? An oversized jacket worn with joggers or jeans and heels or sneakers.

Brooklyn Blonde’s Timeless Look

Buffalo Exchange, Brooklyn Boerum Hill, Street Style, Pink Scarf, Denim and Zara Shoes

The Brooklyn Blonde has a classic, polished style with go-tos like black shades, chic handbags and classic coats. We took street style inspiration from her for this outfit by pairing a Zara jacket with Reformation jeans, an oversized scarf and simple flats with a pop of color. Come spring, simply peel of the scarf and jacket and you have yourself a look that’s casual and polished all at once!

If you’re living a spring daydream, but it’s still 14 degrees outside, don’t despair! Earth Day $1 Sale: Turning the Tide on Plastic Pollution!

0
0

Drumroll, please…this year’s Earth Day $1 Sale will be happening on Saturday, April 21, 2018! Shop a special selection of clothing for just $1 apiece to benefit The 5 Gyres Institute. All proceeds from the selection of $1 clothing will go to 5 Gyres in support of their efforts to research ocean plastic pollution and engage communities in responsible use, design and disposal of plastic materials. Help us turn the tide on plastic pollution – just by shopping! Don’t forget that the sale is cash only and that $1 items go quickly, so get there early, $1 bills in hand – oh, and don’t forget to BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag). The sale will be taking place at all Buffalo Exchange locations, excluding outlets.

A gyre, pronounced jy-yure, is a ring-like oceanic current system. There are 5 subtropical gyres in the ocean (hence the non-profit’s name!) and in 2011, 5 Gyres discovered evidence of plastic in all of them. Since then, they have been studying how plastic travels to these gyres and the effects it has on marine ecosystems, wildlife and human health. The Institute has a wide variety of programs like their TrawlShare, their Plastics BAN (Better Alternatives Now) List and their Mi Mar educational initiative. We’re proud to be supporting The 5 Gyres Institute in these efforts!

Anything But Subtle: Spring 2018 Trends

By Aarian Frye, Buffalo Exchange HQ

Welcome to 2018! If you’re anything like me, you don’t consider the New Year to have truly started until spring rolls around. Once the frosty air gives way to warmer temps and sprigs of grass begin to spring from the ground, we’re finally able to shed the layers of yester-year and embark on a new – or recycled – fashion journey. From the runways to the streets, we’re seeing tons of 80s and 90s style inspo this year, from polka dots and denim to completely saturated monochromes and sorbet pastels. If you’re ready to have some fun with your closet, read ahead for the full scoop on spring 2018 trends!

Snap on, Snap Off: Belt Bags

Buffalo Exchange, Atlanta, Spring 2018 Trends, Pink Shoes and Fannypacks Buffalo Exchange, Brooklyn, Boerum Hill, Spring 2018 Trends, Yellow crop top and pink fannypack

You probably saw this one coming: fanny packs – or “belt bags” as they are now called – are here to stay as one of the most useful spring 2018 trends. These waist packs aren’t what your parents wore during the family trip to Disneyland. Instead, we’re seeing belt bags with minimal pockets in sizes ranging from wallet to supersized. Go the traditional route and snap it around your middle or loop one arm through to wear as a chic crossbody.

Suit Yourself!

Buffalo Exchange, Berkeley, Spring 2018 Trends, Blue suit and tan boater hat Buffalo Exchange, Houston, Spring 2018 Trends, Black and white grid suit

Dapper Dans of the world, rejoice: the two-piece suit has returned! Whether you go classic with a blue linen blend that has sleek lapels or edgy with a double-breasted, grid-patterned short set, there is something sure to suit your every mood.

What’s In The Box?? Crayon-Inspired Saturated Brights

We can say for certain that color is packing a punch this season. Gone are the muted neutrals of 2017. This year, the goal is to be seen.  The world is your canvas when you step out in CMYK-worthy magentas, yellows and cyans.

This Is For Sher-bert One of Our Favorite Spring 2018 Trends

Buffalo Exchange, Ventura, Spring 2018 Trends, Lilac coat and shoes

Buffalo Exchange, Seattle, Spring 2018 Trends, Pastel rainbow jumpsuit and pink coatBuffalo Exchange, Austin, Spring 2018 Trends, Pastel group photo

Make way, millennial pink: there’s a new hue in town.  While the last two years or so were dominated by rose tones, 2018 ushers in lavender as the new “it”-color. However, by no means should you limit yourself! Combining several pastel shades is strongly encouraged.

Denim Reloaded: A Fresh Take on the Big Blue

Buffalo Exchange, Brooklyn, Spring 2018 Trends, Oversized indigo denim jacket Buffalo Exchange, Austin, Spring 2018 Trends, Wide leg denim and patched jacket

Denim is a mainstay in our closets. It never goes out of style; instead, it transforms. This season, we see dark denim in rich indigo and oversized proportions. Add a long trucker jacket or high-waisted pair of wide leg jeans to get in on this most classic of all spring 2018 trends. Double points if you try them both at once!

Polka Party

Buffalo Exchange, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Spring 2018 Trends, Polka dot jumpsuit and blue hat Buffalo Exchange, Ventura, Spring 2018 Trends, White dress with pink polka dots

While gingham dominated last year, the sleeper hit of the spring 2018 trends seems to be polka dots! We’ve seen them all over the runway and now we’re seeing them make their way into our closets. If this trend feels a little too Minnie Mouse for you, opt for an abstract polka dot with an irregular shape.

BERET, there’s more!

Buffalo Exchange, Tucson, Spring 2018 Trends, Red beret with off shoulder blouse and sunglasses

Buffalo Exchange, Bellingham, Spring 2018 Trends, Red beret with rose handbag Buffalo Exchange, Ventura, Spring 2018 Trends, Silver jacket and red beret

We’ve seen a reemergence of headwear over the past few years. The first major trend was the ubiquitous wide-brimmed wool hat, which was followed by the newsboy cap. This year, berets are everywhere, in every color imaginable – but red seems to be the crowd favorite.

Check it Out: Plaid

Buffalo Exchange, Bellingham, Spring 2018 Trends, Yellow plaid pants and silver jacket Buffalo Exchange, Ventura, Blue plaid skirt Buffalo Exchange, San Diego, Pacific Beach, Spring 2018 Trends, Group with plaid pants

Plaid has long been a winter wardrobe staple, but it’s easy to adapt for spring! Ditch the holiday color palette in favor of rich blues, yellows and greens.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Fringe
  • Scrunchies
  • Glitter and sequins

I don’t know about you, but these spring 2018 trends are giving me some serious nostalgia for my grade school closet. The beautiful thing about fashion is that what goes around comes back around – and can always be found at your local Buffalo Exchange. This spring, we encourage you to shake the snow off, grab your Lisa Frank fanny pack and go shopping!

Nathanael Gregory Myers Receives Buffalo Exchange Arts Award

By Danielle Hargett, Buffalo Exchange HQ

“Art is not something that humans do when they have nothing else to do. Art is an essential part of the human condition. It happens everywhere and in all circumstances.” – Spencer Block, Co-founder of Buffalo Exchange

Every year, the Buffalo Exchange Arts Award honors an emerging artist in Southern Arizona with $10,000 so that they can continue doing great work for the local community. This year, the award went to Nathanael Gregory Myers. On January 24, 2018, family, friends and other local artists gathered at the University of Arizona Poetry Center to celebrate as Nathanael accepted the award. Luckily for everyone in attendance, he also offered up a very cool performance!

History of the Arts Award

Here at Buffalo Exchange, we believe art is essential to the well-being of the community. That’s why we’ve been teaming up with the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona to support local artists with this award since 1994.  “Artists are the visionaries,” wrote Spencer Block. “They go where no one has gone and show us the way. They can make us uncomfortable. But artists are essential to the well-being of our society.” Over the years, Buffalo Exchange has awarded over 200,000 to Southern Arizona artists.

An Artist About Town

A native Arizonan, Nathanael has woven himself into the local Tucson arts scene in many ways – most notably through his work with the Museum of Contemporary Art and through performances at Artifact Dance Project and The Rogue Theatre. If you live in Tucson or have plans to visit, keep an eye out. Nathanael has paintings featured all throughout the city – from coffee shops like Cartel Coffee Lab to various buildings on the University of Arizona campus.

Showing Heart through Performing Arts

To showcase his unique approach to the performing arts, Nathanael treated the Arts Award audience of 65 to an emotional performance entitled Triangulation. The interpretive dance spoke to his skill in uniting poetry with movement. A painter, dancer and musician, Nathanael works to combine romanticism, biology and elements of nature as he explores the mediums of visual and performing arts.

For our annual Earth Day $1 Day Sale, we’re teaming up with The 5 Gyres Institute to help turn the tide on plastic pollution in the ocean! At the sale, we will offer a selection of clothing for just $1 apiece. All proceeds from the sale of $1 items will be donated to 5 Gyres in support of their efforts to research ocean plastic pollution and engage communities in the responsible use, design and disposal of plastic materials. Fortunately, it’s easy to be a part of the solution! Here are a few simple things you can do at home to reduce your plastic use:

1. Carry a reusable water bottle. Not only does a refillable bottle make good environmental sense, it’s good for your bank account. Three cheers for staying hydrated without contributing to plastic pollution in the ocean! Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Plastic Pollution in the Ocean, Holding water bottles

2. Go straw-free. Every day, Americans use 500 million straws, which aren’t recyclable and often end up in oceans. Next time you’re eating out at your favorite restaurant, just tell them you don’t need a straw!Buffalo Exchange,HQ, Plastic Pollution in the Ocean, Straw on beach Photo from The 5 Gyres Institute

3.Bring your own shopping bag. Most plastic bags are used for 12 minutes before being thrown out. Plastic bags are difficult to recycle and, because they’re lightweight, often end up in the ocean, where they’re sometimes mistaken for food by turtles. For those times when you end up taking a plastic bag, do your part to reduce plastic pollution in the ocean by reusing it as a trash bag. Need a cute reusable bag to carry around? Stop by your local Buffalo Exchange and pick up one of our totes, made from 70% recycled plastic bottles.Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Plastic Pollution in the Ocean, Bringing a reusable shopping bag

4.Reduce plastic pollution in the ocean by buying in bulk. Packaging now accounts for 25% of all plastic manufacturing. Buying more at once helps reduce the amount of plastic you consume. If you opt to buy from the bulk bins at the grocery store and want to use your own container, just ask the cashier to weigh it before filling it up with your favorite bulk goodies!Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Plastic Pollution in the Ocean, buying in bulk

5.Pick up litter! Picking up litter prevents waste from entering streams, rivers and, ultimately, our oceans. When you see trash on the ground, pick it up. (And while you’re at it, don’t forget to give yourself a big pat on the back!)Buffalo Exchange, HQ, Plastic Pollution in the Ocean, litter in the desert

Oh, and just because we’re friends, we’ll let you in on the #1 easiest – and did we mention most fun? – way to reduce plastic pollution in the ocean: shopping our Earth Day $1 Day Sale, of course! Stop by your local Buffalo Exchange on the morning of Saturday, April 21. The sale is cash only and the selection of $1 items tends to go quickly, so be sure to arrive early, cash in hand. For every $1 you spend on Earth Day $1 Day sale items, you’ll be helping out The 5 Gyres Institute in their fight again ocean plastic pollution!
